the Afikpo South Local Government Area have continued to trade words over
killings in the community.

A group, Edda Identity, expressed
displeasure over Governor David Umahi’s alleged inconsistency in his handling
of the killings and crises in the area.

The group in am open letter urged the the
Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba; Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and the
National Human Rights Commission, to probe the killings in the area and bring
the perpetrators to justice.
The open letter signed by Julius Ama Oji
accused Umahi of playing politics with the lives of the people.
But in a swift reaction, Ebonyi
Commissioner for Information, Uchenna Orji described the letter as
substance-less and ill-willed, adding that it was targeted at demeaning the
efforts of the government at bringing peace, in the area.
He said: “We view this publication
(letter) as a substance-less distraction by a captious and ill-willed
complainer, who is saddened by the truce achieved by the State Government over
the rift that led to the unfortunate attack at Ekoli Edda that caused lives and
properties.”
Ebonyi State Government and Edda group, in the Afikpo South
Nearby Government Region have kept on exchanging words over killings the local
area.
A gathering, Edda Character, communicated disappointment
over Lead representative David Umahi's supposed irregularity in his treatment
of the killings and emergencies nearby.
The gathering in am open letter encouraged the Controller
General of Police, Usman Baba; Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila and the Public Common
freedoms Commission, to test the killings nearby and deal with the culprits.
The open letter endorsed by Julius Ama Oji blamed Umahi for
wading into controversy with the existences of individuals.
Yet, in a quick response, Ebonyi Magistrate for Data,
Uchenna Orji depicted the letter as substance-less and badly willed, adding
that it was focused on at belittling the endeavors of the public authority at
bringing harmony, nearby.
He said: "We view this distribution (letter) as a
substance-less interruption by a finicky and badly willed whiner, who is
disheartened by the ceasefire accomplished by the State Government over the
break that prompted the lamentable assault at Ekoli Edda that caused lives and
properties."
